Dawn Gavin is a native of Scotland, currently living and working in Baltimore, Maryland. As an artist she has exhibited her work both nationally and internationally. Her work investigates issues of identity and displacement, employing a range of media from collage and installed drawings to digital video. Most recently, she has recently shown at Area 405 (Baltimore, MD), Auburn University Biggin Gallery (Auburn, AL), Maryland Institute College of Art, Meyerhoff Gallery (Baltimore, MD) and Artspace at Plant Zero (Richmond, VA). In addition, Gavin has written for ‘Circa’ Arts Magazine (Ireland), and was a contributing editor for ‘Transcript: A Journal of Visual Culture’ (Scotland).
