"Replication Field" 2003 Wood, graphite 240”x240”x72” Each piece is the result of two separate replication processes intersecting along two axes of a grid. The piece is large enough to walk through and becomes a kind of field. |
"Consistency I" 2004 Graphite on paper 12”x12” This piece began with the delicate outlining of a single hair and then grew outwards as I meticulously traced and retraced that original outline. The process ended when I reached the edge of the paper. |

"Ramifications V" 2004 Wood, staples 8”x8”x56” In this series of nine pieces, I split tree trunks and branches into thin sections using a wedge and froe, and then carefully reassembled the original forms with staples. |
"Cubed II" 2002-004 Wood, epoxy, graphite 63”x11”x11” Beginning with a wooden beam that was my height, I cut the volume in half by eye, then quartered it, and so on. The resulting 24,576 pieces were then reassembled and glued back together into their original form. |

"Replication II" 2003 Wood, graphite 207”x72”x4” I began this sculpture by attempting to cut a perfect rectangle from a 4”x4”x72” piece of wood. Then, I traced that form onto a second blank of wood and carefully attempted to cut a copy. The process was repeated with each successive piece of wood. |
