This storefront installation is part of the blind eye projects. It's one of several. Each is a variation on the same theme: the reversal of media and art logic by visual deflection. The first appeared in the East Village New York in May 2001. Others are planned for Budapest, Hungary, and London, UK, later in the year 2002. The blind eye projects may simply be understood to hail the coming age of perfectly seductive media by promoting a movement for the perfect opposite: media and art made to deflect not attract.
