Body and landscape contain seen and unseen layers. This work makes a connection between the complexities of unseen existence with the visible evidence of external surface. Through recording with a video camera, a study of gesture and place is explored. Inherent physical gestures turning away and towards are broken down into evidence of internal moments. These moments are directly connected to environment and how one places their body in landscape. Landscape is used as a reference for constant uncontrollable change (weather and season). The body is a reference for so-called controllable change (emotional growth). |
